Loretta Lynn recovering after pneumonia scare

NASHVILLE, Tenn.

The 76-year-old singer is resting at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.

Lynn was scheduled to perform at a Kentucky theater over the weekend. But the venue issued a statement saying the singer was unable to do the show because she had been hospitalized.

A statement Monday from Loretta Lynn Enterprises says the country music icon has been treated for bacterial pneumonia. She woke up on her tour bus around 1:30 a.m. Saturday having difficulty breathing.

She was treated at a Bowling Green, Ky., hospital over the weekend and released.

"It was one scary night," Lynn says in the statement.

She says she's feeling better and will return to the road Nov. 3 in Knoxville, Tenn.
