Dramatic video showed crews pulling the baby girl alive out of the rubble. The baby was in an apartment building that collapsed on Sunday in the city of Ercis during a 7.2-magnitude earthquake.
Other rescue workers cheered and clapped as the baby was removed from the wreckage.
A rescue worker cradled the naked baby girl. She was then wrapped in a blanket and handed over to a medic.
Her name is Azra Karaduman. She in good health but was flown to a hospital
Meantime, there are reports that the baby's mother and grandmother have also been pulled out alive from the rubble of that building. Workers could not find the father.
The earthquake toppled some 2,000 buildings in eastern Turkey. The death toll has now risen to 432. Some 1,300 people were injured.
Turkey lies in one of the world's most active seismic zones and is crossed by numerous fault lines. In 1999, two earthquakes with a magnitude of more than 7 struck northwestern Turkey, killing about 18,000 people.
