The U.S. Department of Agriculture said Judy's Catering of Burbank distributed the meals without submitting them for federal inspection.
The recall covers various chicken, turkey and beef dishes marked with the code P-21579 or Est. 21579.
The meals were sent to distribution centers in Los Angeles County and may have been sold to hospitals and airlines.
No illnesses have been reported.
