'Twilight' stars immortalized at Grauman's Chinese Theatre

LOS ANGELES

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, who play Bella, Edward and Jacob in the extremely popular saga, dipped their hands and feet in cement during a special ceremony emceed by Jimmy Kimmel.

They joined the likes of Hollywood legends including Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne and dozens of others.

The ceremony was an honor for the three actors who became young super stars thanks to the franchise.

"I've been so enamored by this business - Hollywood. I think this is the coolest thing I've ever done in my life," said Stewart.

Lautner said getting his prints in cement was like a dream and an incredible honor.

"Thank you guys so much. This is such an incredible honor, how young we are, it's kind of ridiculous and amazing at the same time and it's all down to you guys to drive this franchise forward, so I thank you so, so much over the years for being so consistent," said Pattinson.

Pattinson is talking about the die-hard "Twilight" fans who wouldn't have missed this for Thursday's ceremony for the world - even if it meant driving 40 hours from Atlanta, Ga. Fidel Gomez brought his daughter, Jennifer, who is a huge Jacob fan.

"My dad surprised me with it, that he was actually going to bring me. I didn't think he would but this is like a dream," said Jennifer.

Fan Maria Vizcaino said she got to Grauman's at 7 p.m. Wednesday to stake out a prime spot for the ceremony.

"We were ready, and we didn't think we were going to get such great spots but these are like the best spots in the house," said Vizcaino.

Another fan, Jennifer McNeil, said she's an admirer of Pattinson and Stewart, but left Lautner out of the mix.

"I have a lot of respect for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. I really admire their work so I'm really excited to see them being honored by Hollywood. I really am," said McNeil.

What about Lautner?

"I know. I know. Poor Taylor but, really, it's all about Rob and Kristen for me," said McNeil.

McNeil's two favorite "Twilight" characters take a walk down the aisle in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," which is set to premiere Nov. 18.

All three stars took a walk around Grauman's and signed autographs for their fans. After all, they know the fans have been there for their "Twilight" time.

Over the next two weeks, the three stars will all appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on ABC7.
