Morgan Freeman to get Cecil B. Demille Award

Actor Morgan Freeman will be getting a big honor during the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards in January.

Freeman is set to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award for his contribution to the entertainment field.

Previous recipients include Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Robin Williams and Barbra Streisand.

Freeman's recent film credits include "Dolphin's Tale," "Red," and "Invictus."

The Academy Award-winning actor currently is working on the film, "The Dark Knight Rises," which is the third installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman film series.
