The incident happened on the 13700 block of Illinois Street.
The Orange County Fire Authority said a bottle wrapped in a bag was hurled through the home's window at about 9:45 p.m. Sunday.
Police and firefighters were called to the scene, and residents of the home were temporarily evacuated.
No one was hurt.
Hazmat crews determined the bottle and the substance it contained were not a threat.
