Billboard is honoring Nicki Minaj as its rising star of 2011.Minaj will be honored at Billboard's "Women in Music" event on Dec. 2.
The rapper and singer said she's "deeply honored to be recognized by Billboard."
Minaj has become very popular with hits, such as "Super Bass" and "Moment 4 Life." Her debut album, "Pink Friday," was released late last year.
