Suspect dodges deputy's bullet, bitten by dog in East Valinda

EAST VALINDA, LOS ANGELES

Authorities spotted the man carrying what they thought was stolen property at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday near Valley Boulevard and La Seda Road.

He ran into a nearby mobile home park, where he allegedly pointed a gun at a deputy.

That's when the deputy fired off a round.

A police dog eventually found the suspect and bit him. The suspect was taken to a hospital.

Deputies said a handgun was recovered at the scene.
