Investigators seek Palm Desert bank robbery suspect

PALM DESERT, Calif.

Investigators from the Indio Station served three search warrants Thursday after they were led to Tyson Kohut, 37, of Thousand Palms.

Kohut is suspected of robbing an El Paso Bank branch in the Bermuda Dunes area of Palm Desert at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Evidence obtained through the search warrants linked Kohut to the robbery, but Kohut was not located.

Kohut was described as a white male standing 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 220 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Investigators say he has lived in Los Angeles and Thousand Palms, and is known to frequent inland casinos.
