Players need to officially approve NBA labor deal

LOS ANGELES

It's a case of better late than never for fans, and the businesses that count on them.

The /*NBA*/'s fight between billionaire owners and millionaire players hurt many employees at Staples Center and local restaurants.

Business at most restaurants around L.A. Live is down about 30 percent without /*Lakers*/ and /*Clippers*/ fans coming through.

On sports radio Monday, fans were finally able to burn up the lines to talk about Lakers championship hopes and the Clippers' chances of making the playoffs, instead of the usual talk of the nearly five-month-long lockout.
