Suspect wanted in attempted Buena Park kidnapping

BUENA PARK, Calif.

Police said the incident occurred about 1 a.m. Sunday at the 24-hour coin laundry in the 8100 block of Commonwealth Avenue.

According to the victim, she was retrieving her laundry from her car when the suspect called to her as he exited his vehicle.

She then turned towards him and saw that he was armed with a pair of scissors. She immediately ran back towards the laundromat.

The suspect followed her and began to grab her and pull her outside, but an employee heard her yelling and came running.

That's when the man let her go and took off in a green late model Toyota 4Runner.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his early to mid-30s, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, shaved head with a goatee. He was last seen wearing a light colored long sleeve t-shirt, light colored blue jeans and work boots.

The incident was captured on surveillance cameras and the footage is available upon request for review and dissemination to the public.
