'Snoopy House' moved to Costa Mesa City Hall

COSTA MESA, Calif.

The "Snoopy House," a display featuring "Peanuts" comic-strip characters, has moved to Costa Mesa's City Hall this year, thanks to the help of city officials and dozens of volunteers.

The Snoopy House belongs to Jim Jordan, who has put it up outside of his house for the last 44 years.

The tradition almost ended when the home went into foreclosure.

The display has drawn up to 80,000 visitors in recent years.

A special lighting ceremony at City Hall was scheduled for Tuesday evening.
