On Monday, the Los Angeles Police Department's command staff and city leaders will be unveiling the camera system to the public in Pacoima.
They are similar to wireless cameras already up in Baldwin Village.
Police will monitor the cameras with the hope that the added presence will be a new element to help deter crime.
The camera project has been in the works since 2008.
