The boat began drifting dangerously close to rocks off the Channel Islands Sunday.
The fishermen dropped anchor, but it broke. A second anchor was pulling them toward the rocks. There were also very high seas and winds.
A Coast Guard helicopter crew rescued the men and flew them back to Santa Barbara.
No one was injured.
The boat was still being monitored because it was carrying dozens of gallons of fuel and could come aground in an environmentally sensitive area.
