$4M in fake brand name goods seized in LA bust

The operation, called Holiday Hoax, was spearheaded by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.

The operation took place over a six-week period in dozens of cities in the U.S., Mexico and South Korea.

Officials said more than 30 people have been charged with trafficking in counterfeit merchandise.

In Los Angeles, authorities seized phony designer jeans, apparel and athletic shoes of brand names including True Religion, Nike and The North Face.
