Brooke Mueller's attorneys asked a judge to deny a live courtroom Internet feed requested by TMZ Productions when she appears on Jan. 23.
The 34-year-old faces a felony charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute as well as a misdemeanor assault charge.
Mueller was arrested Dec. 3 after a woman claimed being assaulted at a club.
According to the Aspen Times, police found between four and five grams of cocaine when they contacted Mueller.
Sheen and Mueller divorced earlier this year after Sheen was arrested on suspicion of assaulting her in 2009. He completed his probation in November 2010.
