Congress enjoys income jump while voters' net worth falls

WASHINGTON

A New York Times analysis found that between 2004 and 2010, members of Congress enjoyed a 15-percent jump in income, while Americans saw their net worth fall by 8 percent.

Nearly half of the nation's lawmakers are worth at least $1 million; 10 are estimated to be worth $100 million or more.

The median net worth for members of Congress is $913,000 and climbing.
