Highland shooting murder suspect at large

HIGHLAND, Calif.

Deputies responded to a report of a shooting on Friday at 3:40 p.m. on the 27500 block of Baseline Ave. They found Rialto resident Robert Buchholz, 33, with a gunshot wound at the scene.

Buchholz was hospitalized and immediately underwent surgery.

Buchholz and his girlfriend were walking on Baseline when they were approached by 22-year-old Timothy Ravenscroft, a Highland resident. Ravenscroft was armed and allegedly shot Buchholz, according to the sheriff's department.

Investigators did not locate Ravenscroft after an extended search of the area.

Buchholz died Saturday at 1:45 a.m. at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Ravenscroft remained at large Tuesday.
