Light rain started falling in Camarillo in the late evening. The streets were getting slick, worrying some drivers.

"I am a paranoid rain driver, yes," said Camarillo resident Brianette Macpolin. "So when it sprinkles like this I stay inside."

The storm heading into the area dumped enough rain in Northern California to cause street flooding in parts of Marin County.

The Pacific Northwest was slammed by a monster winter storm that blanketed the streets of Seattle and other cities with several inches of snow.

While heavy rain is not expected in the Los Angeles area, residents of communities where homes were damaged by a severe windstorm in November are concerned.

Workers in Temple City and other parts of the San Gabriel Valley are rushing to repair damaged roofs before the rain causes more problems.
