One person is dead and two are seriously injured after crashing 500 feet on Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest on Saturday afternoon.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy Guillermina Saldana said a car flew off the mountain road and down 500 feet into a ravine.

A male passenger managed to get out and get help. The two other people in the car were hoisted out by helicopter. Vigen Sarisyan, 18, of Tujunga, was pronounced dead at the scene.
