The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning for people who use electric toothbrushes.

The FDA says there have been problems with the battery-powered Arm & Hammer Spinbrush and the Crest Spinbrush.

Parts have broken off during use, leading to broken teeth and possible choking hazards.

There also have been problems with the toothbrushes for kids, including cut lips and burns from the batteries. Officials say bristles can also fall off and lodge in a child's tonsils.
