Authorities said Jesse Carranza, 19, was identified as the suspect in the shooting of 15-year-old Steven Guzman in the 1500 block of Belle Street on Jan. 27.
Police said an unknown car drove by a group of children, and someone inside the vehicle fired several shots, killing Guzman.
Guzman died from his injuries at the hospital.
Police said members of the gang unit spotted Carranza getting into a car Friday night.
He was pulled over and arrested for murder.
