The bird is trying to protect a nearby nest. Dorene Olson and her dogs are used to keeping geese from settling down in places they shouldn't be. She says the dogs never attack, they just scare off the birds.
"[The geese] go into a water body if there is water available. So my dogs, you'll see they are outfitted with life jackets, because they do the same thing in the water," said Olson.
Olson said she's just trying to protect the people who've been getting an unpleasant scare from the aggressive bird.
