Among the most talked about is Jaleel White, who is best known for his role as Urkel on the TV show "Family Matters."
Two-time "Dancing With The Stars" champ Cheryl Burke has the challenge of turning Latin heart throb William Levy into a household name.
"Hopefully, the audience comes. What I bring (is) fun because I'm going to have fun ... I think when we enjoy what we do, people are going to enjoy it too," he said.
Disney Channel star Roshon Fegan is the season's youngest competitor. He said he plans to win over the older demographic with his charm.
"I hope that they enjoy some of my old-school skills. I got some old-school skills, I'm pretty groovy," he said.
Football great Donald Driver is spinning his way across a dance floor in Hollywood, impressing his partner Peta Murgatroyd in early rehearsals for his debut on "Dancing With The Stars."
"He's got very good foot work actually, and he picks things up really quickly, so it's kind of unusual, especially for a footballer, to pick things up as quickly as Donald does," Murgatroyd said.
There's been plenty of chatter surrounding "The View" co-host Sherri Shepherd and whether she broke the rules by practicing with her partner before the couples had been announced. She denied the rumors, but did admit she had been taking dance lessons to prepare for her wedding.
"Melrose Place" actor Jack Wagner said he is planning to put his best foot forward on the season premiere, saying "I know I have to really kind of focus, and I'm here for a reason," he said.
Actress Melissa Gilbert is also ready to take a spin around the dance floor. The veteran actress says the thought of performing before a live audience doesn't scare her a bit.
"I've done a lot of work on stage, so for me, an audience is just an added bonus. And it's all so unexpected, and there's an energy that comes from them that you can feel when you're performing immediately," Gilbert said.
On the other hand, opera star Katherine Jenkins said she feels completely out of her comfort zone.
"I think as a classical singer, you just tend to stand in one spot and have the orchestra behind you. You don't really have to move so this is really challenging for me, but I'm trying my best," Jenkins said.
"Dancing With The Stars" kicks off with a two-hour season premiere at 8 p.m. on ABC7.
