Fullerton suspect may be linked to 2 assaults

FULLERTON, Calif.

On Thursday, March 15, the victim was walking in the area of Calle Don Juan north of Las Palmas Drive shortly before 10 a.m. when the suspect approached her from behind, grabbed her buttocks and then grabbed her groin.

The man ran away, possibly into the area of Flintridge and Las Palmas drives. Fullerton police say a silver sedan was seen leaving the area shortly after the suspect entered the cul-de-sac. The suspect was not seen in the car, and there was no other information on the vehicle description.

The suspect was described as a man in his 20s to 30s, bewteen 5 feet and 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing between 160 and 170 pounds, with a black mustache and medium brown skin. He was said to be wearing a long-sleeve black shirt or sweater with a black beanie and black pants.

Police say a similar incident was reported Thursday, Feb. 23 at about 8:45 a.m. in the area of Las Palmas and Flintridge drives. The suspect description was the same. Police said in this case, the victim was walking a stroller when the suspect approached her from behind, kissed her by force and grabbed her groin area. The victim screamed and the suspect fled.
