Cypress College bathroom peeper arrested

CYPRESS, Calif.

All of the incidents happened inside men's bathrooms on the Cypress College campus.

Police say one of his victims called 911 after catching Johnny Nguyen recording him with a cellphone from a neighboring bathroom stall Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the victim saw the cellphone under his stall, quickly got out, went to the next stall and detained Nguyen by holding the door shut while calling police.

Police allege Nguyen, who is from Stanton, videotaped at least two other people that same day and also admitted to doing it 15 more times over the past 12 months. Authorities say Nguyen claims watching the videos for personal use.

"I think it's pretty creepy that someone would scale under the bathroom and peep," said Cypress student Farhad Goodarzi.

This is the second such incident to happen at Cypress College. Last month, surveillance video captured a man on campus, suspected of using a cellphone camera to record a woman in a bathroom stall. Police say that description does not match Nguyen's description. Investigators are asking any potential victims to come forward.

If you have information regarding these incidents or saw anything suspicious, you're urged to call the Cypress Police Department at (714) 229-6631.
