The incident happened around 2:45 a.m. Sunday along the 4600 block of West Imperial Highway.
Investigators said the victim was standing at the taco stand when he was shot several times. He ran a short distance before collapsing.
Witnesses said the gunman took off in a white van. The motive for the shooting remains unknown.
