Jerry Sandusky's sex abuse trial delayed by 3 weeks

HARRISBURG, Pa.

The judge overseeing the child sex abuse case agreed to postpone the trial from mid-May to June 5. His decision came in response to several motions filed a week ago by Sandusky.

The 68-year-old retired defensive coordinator faces 52 counts involving 10 alleged victims over 15 years. He's confined to his home to await trial and denies the allegations.

The case against Sandusky led to the firing of distinguished football coach Joe Paterno, who administrators said did not do enough once he learned about part of the allegations, and spawned criminal charges against two school officials.
