OTRC: Bobbi Kristina Brown to appear in Tyler Perry sitcom, report says

Bobbi Kristina Brown was cast in a recurring role in the Tyler Perry sitcom, "For Better or Worse," according to reports.

The 19-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston is set to join the cast in a recurring role on the TBS series, according to People magazine.

Brown recently expressed an interest in entertainment during an interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this month, telling the media mogul, "I have to carry on the legacy... We're going to do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing."

According to Radar, Bobbi Kristina will portray the daughter of one of the stylists at the salon owned by Tasha Smith's character on the series.

"For Better or Worse" is based on his "Why Did I Get Married" comedy films and currently filming its second season, which is slated to premiere in July on TBS. It was recently announced that Perry's other show, "House of Payne," would end after seven seasons.

Perry is known for his comedy series "Meet The Browns" and his "Madea" franchise, which features Perry in drag as the title character. He spoke at Houston's funeral last month and also lent the singer's family his private jet to fly her remains from California to New Jersey.

Bobbi Kristina is the only daughter of Houston and Bobby Brown, who wed in 1992 and divorced in 2007. Houston had sole custody of Bobbi Kristina following the divorce.

Houston died at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California, on Saturday, February 11. On February 12, Bobbi Kristina Brown was hospitalized "to be treated for stress and anxiety," a source close to the family told OnTheRedCarpet.com.

It was reported earlier this month that everything in the singer's will was left to Bobbi Kristina Brown. The 19-page document was originally filed in Atlanta, Georgia on February 3, 1993, a month before Bobbi Kristina was born. It was amended in April 2000, while the singer was still married to Bobby Brown.

Brown's spokesperson recently denied that Bobbi Kristina was engaged to her "adopted brother" Nick Gordon, who was essentially raised by Houston.
