Kate Middleton, William immortalized in wax at Tussauds

NEW YORK

Madame Tussauds New York unveiled wax figures of Prince William and his wife Catherine to mark the royal couple's upcoming first wedding anniversary.

The figure of the former Kate Middleton wears the now famous blue Issa dress gown and features a recreation of her engagement ring that previously belonged to Princess Diana.

William's figure is in a double breasted tuxedo.

A Tussauds spokesperson said the couple was actively involved in the preparation of their likenesses.

At an unveiling in Amsterdam the same day, child models were brought in to pose with scones in front of waxworks of the royal couple.

Madame Tussauds Amsterdam captured the Duchess of Cambridge's recent appearance at a movie premiere where she wore a lace Alice Temperley number.
