'American Reunion' finally lets Eugene Levy, Jennifer Coolidge share a scene

April 4, 2012 12:00:00 AM PDT
On the big screen, actors Eugene Levy and Jennifer Coolidge are together again for the first time. Both stars have been part of the "American Pie" film franchise, but they hadn't shared a scene together until now.

Levy and Coolidge have been friends for many years. They've been part of director Christopher Guest's talented troupe of actors and co-starred in his films "Best in Show," "A Mighty Wind" and "For Your Consideration."

While both appeared in the original "American Pie" and "American Pie 2" films, their characters hadn't crossed paths until "American Reunion."

"This is the most intimate we've ever been," Coolidge said jokingly.

"We do have some funny little moments in this thing," Levy added.

"American Reunion" features the entire ensemble cast from the original 1999 movie. Cast members Seann William Scott and Jason Biggs also served as executive producers on the film.

It's in theatres Friday and, yes, it is rated R.
