Covina robbery suspect took $8,000 in jewelry

COVINA, Calif.

The robbery happened at the Old Covina Emporium at 514 N. Citrus Ave. The suspect entered the store at about 2:30 p.m. on Friday and looked around the store for about 40 minutes. The suspect told workers he was killing time waiting for his wife, Covina police said.

The suspect took two displays, stealing approximately $8,000 in assorted gold and diamond rings.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and a blue baseball cap with the letter T on it.
