Lottery officials say the holder of a winning Mega Millions ticket in Maryland has finally come forward on Monday, but will remain anonymous.

Single mother Mirlande Wilson had claimed that she had the winning Maryland ticket, but sources now confirm that Wilson was not the person who claimed the win.

Last week, an anonymous winner emerged in Kansas. The winner from Illinois has not come forward, but officials said it was purchased in the small town of Red Bud, near St. Louis.

Each ticket is worth about $218 million before taxes. The record-breaking $656 million jackpot was the biggest in Mega Millions history.
