Coachella Craigslist ad ticket scam victims sought

April 21, 2012 12:00:00 AM PDT
Authorities are looking for victims of an Internet scam involving the sold-out Coachella Music Festival.

Anthony Berson of Hawaii's Big Island has been arrested in the alleged hoax.

Police said the 19-year-old posted a Craigslist ad claiming he had tickets for sale. People wired money but never received their passes or wrist bands.

Detectives and state officials conducted a sting operation posing as a buyer. Officials said when Berson went to a Hilo Western Union office this week to pick up $900 using the control number from the sting operation, he was arrested.

Berson was released without bail.
