Prince Harry has been awarded the Atlantic Council Award for Distinguished Humanitarian Leadership for his charitable works on behalf of wounded servicemen.

He will accept the honor for the charity work he and his brother, Prince William, have been doing through their foundation. The ceremony takes place May 7 in Washington, according to St. James's Palace.

Harry, 27, has extensive military experience and is training as an Apache military pilot. He has focused some of his charitable works on the needs of injured servicemen.
