Musician Ted Nugent is speaking out about his canceled appearance at a Kentucky Army post after his comments on President Obama.

Nugent said he was insulted by the cancellation of his planned June concert at Fort Knox. Army officials made that decision after Nugent said he would be "dead or in jail by this time next year" if Mr. Obama is re-elected.

Nugent told The Associated Press his words were not intended as a threat against the president. He added that he's received messages of support from troops and noted that the Secret Service had met with him and closed its case.
