Authorities said a 50- to 60-year-old man driving a white van stopped twice on Saturday to speak with the girls. The incident happened around 2:15 p.m. in the area of Vista Plaza Road as the girls walked on the sidewalk near their home.
The man drove off when the girls ignored him the first time, but he returned a few minutes later, got out of his van and walked toward them. The girls ran away and were not hurt.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds.
