Los Angeles police announced a $50,000 reward for whoever killed a mentally challenged woman on Christmas Eve.

The reward was announced during a Wednesday morning news conference.

Eva Tice, 60, was stabbed on Christmas Eve while walking from church, three blocks from her home. Police said she was attacked in front of a building on Pacific Avenue near 11th Street.

Her name in her Bible enabled police to identify her.

Witnesses saw a man in his 30s running from the scene, but the trail has run cold since then.

Investigators believe robbery was the motive behind the murder. If you have information related to the case, contact the Los Angeles Police Deptartment at (877) LAPD-24-7.
