Authorities responded to the 13100 block of North San Fernando Road at about 9:20 a.m. One person was in critical condition, and three others were in fair condition.
Rescue crews extricated the driver from the truck.
The motel was damaged, but its structural integrity was still intact. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
