Clerk robbed on first day on job, quits

STANTON, Calif.

Surveillance video shows the robbery suspect pulling out a semi-automatic gun and telling the clerk to put all the money from the cash register into a bag.

The robbery took place Monday night at a Shell gas station on the 8900 block of Katella Avenue.

Orange County Sheriff's deputies believe the suspect could be part of a ring linked to a series of recent service station robberies.

The clerk was working his first day on the job. He quit right after being held up.
