Special gang units are set to patrol a Wilmington school carnival Saturday after a 16-year-old boy was shot and wounded.

The shooting happened Friday night during the carnival at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School.

The suspect is still on the loose.

Police think the shooter may be a gang member, but they say the victim is not connected to any gang.

That boy was taken to the hospital with a bullet wound in his neck. He was reported in stable condition Saturday morning.
