3-alarm fire damages Oxnard apartment building

OXNARD, Calif.

More than a dozen people were displaced from their homes on the 3000 block of Peninsula Road.

Fire crews got the call around 11 p.m. They arrived to find heavy smoke and fire on the second flood of the four story building.

It took 50 firefighters to get the blaze put out and three people were treated for minor injuries.

It's estimated the building sustained over $500,000 in damage. Crews are investigating the cause of the fire.
