Acid in road shuts Fullerton intersection

FULLERTON, Calif.

The intersection was closed for about half a mile in both directions. There was no word on when the road would reopen and drivers were asked to take alternate routes.

Between one to two gallons of the acid was in the road and was expected to be flushed out. It is not yet known how the acid got there. There have been no evacuations.

Fullerton fire took over the scene from Anaheim fire.
