May 30, 2012 12:00:00 AM PDT
Two Los Angeles men were arrested for fraud May 26 following an investigation by the Thousand Oaks Police Department and the U.S. Secret Service.

Jin Tae Kim, 32, and Ho Rim Yoon, 31, allegedly opened bank accounts and wrote checks against those accounts knowing there were insufficient funds to cover them, according to police.

After making three fraudulent transactions at three different banks, Kim and Yoon were arrested at a Chase Bank branch in Thousand Oaks.

Kim and Yoon were booked at the Ventura County Sheriff's Department's East County Jail for burglary, fraud and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Investigators discovered Kim and Yoon had been allegedly conspiring with a third suspect who was supplying them with information to commit the crimes. Investigators were attempting to identify additional suspects, police said.

Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 reward for information, which leads to the arrest and criminal complaint against the person(s) responsible for these type of crimes. The caller may remain anonymous. The call is not recorded. Call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
