Man arrested after struggling with deputies

SANTA ROSA VALLEY, Calif.

Authorities responded to a house on the 2600 block of Marvella Court at about 2:30 p.m. Friday. The suspect, identified as Jae Lee of New York, had apparently entered the home and demanded that the residents leave, according to police.

The residents barricaded themselves in a room, while Lee allegedly rummaged through the house. When deputies arrived, he refused to comply to their demands that he surrender.

Lee, 40, allegedly held a glass vase in a threatening matter as if he was going to throw it at a deputy. A Taser was used on him, but Lee was able to render the Taser ineffective. Deputies then used pepper spray to take Lee into custody.

Lee was arrested for burglary, resisting arrest and trespassing. It was unclear if the suspect had any relation to the victims.
