Disney's 'California' letters donated to State Fair

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

For years, millions of people posed for pictures by giant letters that spelled "California." The letters have since been removed as part of the park's renovation project.

Disney on Wednesday announced it's donating them to the Friends of the California State Fair, a nonprofit organization that benefits California Exposition & State Fair (Cal Expo) in Sacramento, where the fair is held.

From now on, the giant letters will greet visitors there each year. The letters will head to their new home sometime in late September.

Disney is the parent company of ABC7.
