Two pursuit suspects who fled after crashing a stolen vehicle were arrested in the Palms area on Friday afternoon.

Authorities say police were in pursuit of a Toyota Camry that was stolen from Santa Monica when the suspects crashed into a truck at Venice Boulevard and Canfield Avenue. They jumped out of the vehicle and ran into the neighborhood.

The suspects, who were believed to be armed, fled into an apartment building. The area was locked down as police searched for the suspects.

The suspects arrested after a witness saw the two young men hiding in the hallway of an apartment building and alerted police. It was unclear whether they were armed.

The accident happened right in front of the office where a popular chiropractor was found brutally beaten Thursday.
