The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. on the 200 block of South Laxore Street. Police said the victim was standing with some family members in front of a car when occupants of another vehicle opened fire.
The man, whose identity has not released, was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in critical condition.
Police are trying to determine if the shooting was gang-related. Anyone with information was asked to call Anaheim police at (714) 765-1900.
