Convicted felon sought after cutting off GPS ankle tracker

LOS ANGELES

Perry Pemberton is charged with six burglaries in several cities across Southern California, including Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, Valencia, Burbank and Bel Air. He is also a registered sex offender.

Pemberton, who uses the moniker "KP Money," was arrested October 2011 for the burglaries. After his arrest, he was held on $1.1 million bail. But that was later reduced to $500,000. Pemberton posted bail and another GPS tracker was placed on his ankle. He was driving a 2006 blue Maserati with the license plate 6PIX577.

Police said Pemberton cut off the device during a recess break at his preliminary hearing on May 25.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to contact authorities at (877) LAPD-24-7.
