Authorities said about half of the tree fell around 10:25 p.m. Monday. A man who lives at the house said moments before the tree fell, he got out of his truck and heard a cracking noise.
He made it to the front porch, which protected him as the tree hit the truck and front of the house. The truck was crushed, but no one was hurt.
A building inspector was called to check out the house.
